Material Manager
Competencies:
1. Decision making skills;
2. Financial analysis for inventory management- emphasis on warehousing activities;
3. Determining-setting inventory levels to assure AOP support – in parallel with Purchasing/ Production scheduling;
4. Customer satisfaction compliance;
5. Departmental budgeting in support of AOP;
6. Materials costing for Product Cost (overhead/ freight included);
7. Leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
1- Warehousing;
2- Budgeting, active participation in budget monitoring- with rolling forecasting;
3- Materials costing, meetings with Buyers with analysis of PPV- with sector trend analysis and suppliers selection;
4- Inventory control- Inventory management/ Supply Chain aligned to transportation management;
5- Shipping/ Distribution- routings; delivery/distribution channels; carrier/freight negotiations; tariff/customs regulations;
6- Decision making- participation in management meetings/networking for value creating process and activities (negotiation; department representative in management meetings, Suppliers, new product development initiatives).
